"Greater Bay Area Built Heritage Summit" opens for registration

Jointly organised by the Commissioner for Heritage’s Office and the Antiquities and Monuments Office (AMO) of the Development Bureau on November 9-10, the “Greater Bay Area Built Heritage Summit” (the Summit) is open for registration today (October 18).

The Summit aims at facilitating exchanges on conservation, revitalisation and education of built heritage in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA). It is supported by the Antiquities Advisory Board and Advisory Committee on Built Heritage Conservation, and sponsored by the Hong Kong Jockey Club.

At the Summit, around 30 officials, experts, scholars and business leaders from the GBA will share their experiences and innovative ideas on four aspects, namely “New Development in Built Heritage Conservation and Adaptive Reuse of Historic Buildings”, “Knowledge Sharing and Public Engagement: New Strategies in Built Heritage Education”, “Application of New Technologies in Built Heritage Conservation and Education” and “Cross-Boundary Collaborations”. A conference proceeding comprising articles written by the speakers will be published.

The Summit is an event to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. It will be held at the Theatre, Low Block, Hong Kong City Hall.
